The city’s significantly above average property crime is somewhat of an deviation when measured against Texas — and the U.S. as a whole.

Recommended Option for Integration Options
As far as integrations, not many alarm companies can match the how well Link Interactive integrates with third-party smart home and home security brands. Due to this, we're giving our recommendation to Link Interactive as the best alarm company with integrations in Austin, TX.
Although integrations isn't one of the first things end users usually factor in deciding between alarm companies, it is an vital factor that can affect your overall user experience. In essence, a system that integrates well with third-party brands is more flexible and secure than systems without integrations because it lets you expand your security system without being limited by what your alarm company offers. As an example, with a well-integrated system, you'll most likely have the option to use better security cameras from a compatible brand instead of settling on what the alarm company offers. This is only one of the many benefits Link Interactive customers enjoy from their integrated security systems.
The easiest way to look into your options with Link Interactive is to visit their website and get an online quote.
Recommended Option for Cost Effectiveness
Most consumers will tell you that the first things they compare when choosing a security company are the equipment and monitoring pricings. When shopping for a security system, your budget allotment is vital. And if you're looking for a company with the lowest cost but has high quality equipment and monitoring service, our recommendation goes to Brinks.
Before making a recommendation, we made sure to consider only the companies that are capable of protecting Austin, TX residents from the most common security threats in the city. First, we analyzed the crime data in Austin, TX to determine which risks affect most homeowners and property renters. Then, we compared those risks to the features offered by big alarm companies and local security providers. By doing this type of analysis, we've reduced the options to a handful of security companies.
Finally, we dug into their individual pricing plans to determine which of them has the lowest pricing. The result shows that Brinks is the least expensive option among the companies with high security standards.

When deciding between home alarm companies, most people will tell you that the customer service, pricing, and features are the most important things they look at. Although we agree with them, we believe that the best way to choose which is the best alarm company for you is looking at those factors collectively instead of individually. Doing so enables you to find a company that offers the highest value.
We did such analysis on the companies operating in Austin, TX, and after long hours of comparing them, we've found that Vivint has the best value for their price. In our analysis, we've considered their cost, the features they offer, how flexible they are when it comes to monitoring plans, and their customer service quality.

Ranked 15th safest city in the US, home to famous and influential people *coughs*Sandra Bullock*coughs*, Live Music Capital of the World, center of comedy, and Tex-Mex food. So, tell me again, what’s not to love about Austin?
More than likely you aren’t here to find out whether Austin is amazing or not, because you probably already know that it is. So let’s focus on the thing we’re good at — helping you choose a security system for your beloved Austin home.
National Home Alarm Companies in Austin
Currently, we recommend Frontpoint as our top national home security company for people that live in the US, not just Austin. One reason is that they offer wireless, cellular technology. Why should you care? Because you don’t have to drill into your walls and you won’t need a landline to make your security system talk to your central monitoring agency. Instead, they use a cellular chip to send alerts via cellular signal. A cellular signal is more secure than landline monitoring as there are no wires to cut and the system stays up even when the power is out thanks to built-in battery backup.
Aside from the technology they use, they are backed by their A+ BBB reputation, Angie’s List Super Service Awards, nationwide coverage, and they offer home automation, fire monitoring, and 24/7 burglary monitoring.
If you decide to leave Austin, I’m not sure why you would, you can take your Frontpoint system with you without spending a single penny on penalties, something that is not offered by many other national companies. In fact, Frontpoint will even send you a free mover’s kit with everything you need to relocate your system. Though Frontpoint is slightly more expensive than some other options, they are our top choice thanks to little policies like this and also thanks to the fact that their system is so easy to install.

Local Home Alarm Companies in Austin
In my opinion, there are two local companies in Austin that seem to be approaching security the right way = protecting your home while treating you like a customer. We recommend considering All Star Security and Texas Central Security. Like Frontpoint, All Star does not require a phone line, which we love, and they offer free activation. Although their entry level system is rather basic, they do have options for upgraded features like touchscreen panels and smartphone notifications. They are most comparable to Link Interactive, another top rated national provider, in terms of pricing and also partners. Both All Star and Link use Alarm.com and 2GIG technology.

Texas Central Security
Texas Central Security is not as strong at customer service as Frontpoint. However, if you want in-home installation, Texas Central Security is going to be your best bet. From a technology standpoint, they are very similar to both All Star Security and Link. In fact, they use the same control panel as Link Interactive.
Texas Central’s monthly fee starts at $39.99 per month which is more expensive than both Frontpoint and Link, but if you want a local company that can install the system for you, it may be worth a few extra dollars per month.

In addition, Neighborhood Scout reports that Austin has a property crime rate of 39.07 per 1,000 residents, which is higher than the national median.
